A Little Victory

Today, I finished the first draft of my first feature length script, "All Nighter." A little victory, sure, but it feels like I've crossed a huge checkpoint in this process. In the middle of 2016, I started bouncing an idea around in my head about a film dedicated to the way I grew up and the friends I grew up with. Out of my brain came this simple, stupid premise: "A Friday night driving around the San Fernando Valley spent with four foul-mouthed, quick witted friends who don't have a plan." A full 95 pages later, the first, ROUGH draft was birthed out of an HP Officejet printer into the world. There is a long road filled with rewrites and additions ahead. Even longer is the road of scrounging the resources necessary to make this script a production. I am, however, already planning. This script means the world to me and I'm looking forward to the day I get to see it on screen. This is a little victory, yes, but someday soon, it will all come together.

Filled with misplaced optimism,
T.C. Barrera
